Hello,
New PRO user here. I’ve searched extensively on the forums and knowledgebase about this issue but haven’t found anything so I’m guessing it’s something I am doing wrong or a problem with my setup.
I’ve added an Additional field in the settings and set the type to URL. When I enter a URL it displays on the event page as follows instead of displaying the text as a clickable link.
<a href="http://examplewebsite.com" target="self">http://examplewebsite.com/</a>
Is there some setting I need to change for this to display correctly?
URLs entered into the “Website” field display correctly as a clickable link but not in the Additional Fields. Alternatively could you point me to which file I need to modify to change the Event detail labels (the box at the bottom of an event page) from “Website” to “Register”

Welcome to the forums and thanks for going PRO!
Sorry for the trouble here. I tried adding a new “Text” additional field in my own settings and typed in the same URL but it seemed to work well.
Are you also adding a Text field or is some other type of field? Let me know and I’d be happy to test it out and see if I can create the same issue and troubleshoot from there.
Thanks!

Check this out: http://midlothiansciencefestival.com/event/unbelievable-the-science-of-the-paranormal-at-dalkeith-library/
Look at the Other fields (I have hidden the “other” label but they are at the right of the details box. You can see the URL field (which is an Additional Field of type URL with plain text of the url entered in the event as value).
It looks like the value of the field is being being returned incorrectly (some extra double quotes). I can see that additional-fields.php controls the display of the additional fields, but it simply returns the values as stored int he db. Looks like a storing issue?
Any other info you need, please let me know.
Thanks
